
Race runs on as Missoula All Women’s 5K
The Blue Mountain All Women's Run, which ran for the last time in October 2007, has passed its torch to RunWild Missoula (runwildmissoula.org), which is hosting the Missoula All Women’s 5K on Oct. 4. Red Lodge resident named Female Athlete of the Year
The choice for the 2008 National Congress of State Games Female Athlete of the Year is Marlene Tetrault of Red Lodge. At the age of 70 this “Golden Girl” won gold medals in the Big Sky State Games half-marathon running road race, as well as adding gold medals in both the triathlon and tennis events. Read more

Missoula festival focuses on indie films
The Montana Independent Film Festival returns to Missoula for a second season, with screenings Sept. 19-21 at the newly renovated Wilma Theater. Sawyer Brown concert benefits graphic design students
Grammy-award winning country-rock band Sawyer Brown comes to Bozeman for an evening of down-home entertainment, 6 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. Proceeds will go toward creating a graphic design scholarship at Montana State University’s School of Art. Organizers say the goal of this new scholarship “is to ensure that the most creative minds stay in Montana.” Read more
Montana Tech Fest hits Butte
Black Stone Cherry headlines the inaugural Montana Tech Fest, which brings five bands to Montana Tech Alumni Coliseum for an outdoor concert that begins at 2 p.m. Sept. 6.
