Surface Design Association offers first Montana exhibit
Whooping Crones Gallery in Missoula hosts the inaugural Surface Design Association Show in November and December. The opening and artists’ reception coincides with First Friday festivities, 5-8 p.m. Nov. 7. The show includes fiber art, wall pieces, screens, wearable-art and 3-D work from the organization’s statewide membership. Read more

National Folk Festival taking applications from artisans
Organizers are accepting applications for vendors to sell their work at the Montana Arts Marketplace during the 71st National Folk Festival, July 10-12 in Butte. Openings are available for 25 Montana-based artists/craftspeople and 20 Native American artists who will be selected through a juried process and have the opportunity to sell their products to thousands of attendees at the event.
