“Chicago” brings “all that jazz” to Fort Peck Theatre

ATP brings “She Loves Me” to the Whitefish stage
Alpine Theatre Project continues its season July 12-29 with the charming musical, “She Loves Me,” lauded as "one of the most delightful musicals of the 20th century" by the Wall Street Journal. ATP founding artists Luke Walrath and Betsi Morrison star in the tale of Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash, co-workers who can't stand each other but unknowingly fall in love as pen pals. Read more
Opera House Theatre stages three comedies
The Opera House Theatre Company in Philipsburg is in full swing with three comedies, including an original, “Security Breeches,” by the company’s artistic director, Missoula playwright and actor David Mills-Low, the Vaudeville Variety Show and "Leaving Iowa." Show times are 7 p.m. Thursdays, 2 and 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays, through Sept. 4 at the handsome old theatre. Read more
Art imitates life in Alpine Theatre Project’s season opener
Alpine Theatre Project (ATP) launches its 2011 summer season of "Love! Romance! Murder!" with a heartfelt look at 50 years of marriage portrayed by real-life married couple, Betsi Morrison and Luke Walrath. The musical, “I Do! I Do!,” is on stage June 10-19 at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center. ATP co-founder David Ackroyd directs the first play of the professional theatre's seventh season. Read more

Fort Peck launches summer season with “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”
The longest running off-Broadway musical, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” launches the Fort Peck Summer Theatre season, held in the charming theatre constructed in 1934. The musical comedy revue, which continues through June 12, takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.” Read more

Virginia City Players open season with “Double Trouble on the Prairie”
The Illustrious Virginia City Players, produced by Rocky Mountain College, kick off their 62nd summer season May 28 with a matinee performance of “Double Trouble on the Prairie” at the Opera House in Virginia City. Montana’s oldest summer theater will present three melodramas, May 28-Sept. 4, each followed by a vaudeville show known as the “Varied Vigorous Vagary of Vivacious Variety Acts.” Read more
The Brewery Follies: “A serious mission to make you laugh”
The Brewery Follies of Virginia City returns with another season of satire, nonsense, foolishness and absurdity. The comedy cabaret opens May 27 at the historic town’s H.S. Gilbert Brewery – established in 1863 by German-born brewmeister H.S. Gilbert.
