
Intermountain Opera stages “Bravo! An Opera Celebration”
Bozeman’s Intermountain Opera presents something new this fall to launch its 33rd season. “Bravo! An Opera Celebration,” 8 p.m. Oct. 8 and 3 p.m. Oct. 10 at Willson Auditorium, is an elaborate concert composed of favorite arias and ensembles from operas produced in the past and from works on the future calendar. Ballet Montana launches academy for serious dance students
Ballet Montana, formerly Artisan Dance, opens its official school, Ballet Montana Academy, starting Sept. 7 on the campus of Carroll College in Helena, under the direction of master teacher and choreographer Sallyann Mulcahy. The academy is open to career-dedicated students of classical ballet and offers an optimal balance of technique, variations, pointe, and physical conditioning. Read more
Fort Peck wraps up summer season with “Run For Your Wife”
Thinking about a road trip this Labor Day weekend? Why not pay a visit to the northeastern corner of Montana, where Fort Peck Summer Theatre is staging its final show of the season. “Run For Your Wife” offers a laugh-out-loud take on the life of a London taxi driver who spends his days, between fares, keeping house with two women in separate parts of London. WTC auditions for main stage and Black Curtain productions
Whitefish Theatre Company will hold auditions for the first two community theatre productions and the Black Curtain staged reading series during August and September. Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 23-24, for “Dividing the Estate” by Horton Foote; Tuesday, Sept. 6, for the Black Curtain Series; and Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 20-21, for “The Secret Garden.” Read more

Opera House Theatre celebrates 10th season
Built in 1891, the Philipsburg Opera House is recognized as the oldest continually operating theatre in Montana.
