The show that brought you love, hate, greed and crime is back. After eight years, “Chicago” is all jazzed up and taking over the Fort Peck Summer Theatre stage July 8-24.

Erika Dooley directs a talented cast of professional actors and community members. Shannon McMillan stars as Roxie Hart and Kayla Peabody is Velma Kelly; other leading roles are played by Jamie Parnell (Billy Flynn), JP Dooley (Amos), Jennifer Stuart (Matron Mama Morton), Ira Lindberg Harris (The Emcee), Claire Marx (Hunyak), and A. Meyers (Mary Sunshine).

A favorite with northeastern Montana audiences, “Chicago” has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune and “all that jazz”; tons of catchy tunes; and vibrant choreography.

Since its Broadway debut, “Chicago” has been honored with six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy, and thousands of standing ovations.

“Whether you're looking for your first Broadway musical, whether you've seen the Academy Award-winning film and want to experience the show live on stage, or whether you've seen it before and want to recapture the magic, Chicago always delivers,” says Dooley.

Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays at the historic theatre near Glasgow. The season continues with “Big River,” July 29-Aug. 14, and “Leading Ladies,” Aug. 19-Sept. 4.

Tickets are $5-$17; for reservations, call 406-526-9943. Visit www.fortpecktheatre.org for details.
