Thinking about a road trip this Labor Day weekend? Why not pay a visit to the northeastern corner of Montana, where Fort Peck Summer Theatre is staging its final show of the season.

“Run For Your Wife” plays at 8 p.m. Sept. 3-5 in the historic theatre, built in 1934 by the Army Corps of Engineers, and resembling a Swiss-style chalet.

Ray Cooney’s script, performed under the direction of Stephen Moore, offers a laugh-out-loud take on the life of John Smith, a London taxi driver who spends his days, between fares, keeping house with two women in separate parts of London, each believing they are the center of John’s universe.

John is able to keep his wives apart and his life together, until a failed attempt to stop a mugging, lands John in the hospital, answering to the police and leaving him late for both wives.

Guest artist and Montana theatre veteran Justin Fatz stars as the Casanova cabby; Pam Veis of Havre portrays the frazzled caregiver Mary; and Shannon McMillan is the sultry temptress Barbara.

Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults, and may be purchased by calling 406-526-9943. Parents should be cautioned that this play contains some adult humor, which may not be appropriate for all audiences. For more information on the theatre, visit visit www.fortpecktheatre.org.
