Broad Comedy is back with an all-new show, 8 p.m. Nov. 17-19 at the Emerson Center – and literally “back,” as writer-directors Katie Goodman and Soren Kisiel are in New York for the year on tour.

It’s been a busy fall for Goodman, who performed a sold-out solo show in Bozeman Oct. 3 before heading to California to open for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles Advocacy Project's annual "Politics, Sex and Cocktails" event, Oct. 6; and then debuting her solo show of musical satire and mayhem at the Triad Theatre in New York City, Oct. 14, where she’ll be performing monthly.

She joins Broad Comedy for performances in Denver and Boulder, Colo., and Northampton, Mass., before returning to Bozeman. Goodman also takes the stage in Phoenix Nov. 11 for a TEDTalk event.

"Exuberant! Colossal entertainment value … Katie Goodman is a multi-talented, femme-extraordinaire!" lauds the Los Angeles Examiner.

Broad Comedy has also had quite a year, touring to Edinburgh, Scotland, last summer, and posting Youtube hits in the half-millions, collectively. “I had someone in Atlanta email me one of Broad Comedy’s videos,” says a Bozeman fan. “And I got to say, yeah, they’re ours!”

The Broads have received many accolades over the years, including winning the Best of The Vancouver Fringe Festival, performing a three-month run in Boston’s 440-seat Stuart Street Playhouse, and earning a spot on Showtime, where Goodman performed her hit song, “These Are the Things I Can’t Remember.” A three-month smash run in Los Angeles garnered them a nomination for the EPIC Award offered by The White House Project.

In addition to Goodman, actresses in this fall’s production include Maggie Garver, Erin Roberg, Cara Wilder and their newest member, Wendy Westmoreland. The Broads promise to ease the election blues and revive the satirical spirit with songs about the candidates and comedy about Bozeman and, of course, women’s issues and shenanigans (rated R of course).
