Davis is the founder of Raptors of the Rockies, a nonprofit organization that rehabilitates injured birds of prey, and educates schools and groups about them. Since the organization’s founding, Davis and birds have appeared in 1,200 programs for more than 100,000 audience members across western Montana and Idaho.

Palmer is a professional photographer and has written several books, including The World of the American Kestrel and Prairie Owl. Dunlop lives in Sebastopol, Calif., and, as a self-proclaimed falcon fanatic, works with falconers, biologists and raptor fans alike to capture his stunning photos.

The book, published by Mountain Press of Missoula, sells for $22.
