joins the Opera House line-up.

Built in 1891, the Philipsburg Opera House is recognized as the oldest continually operating theatre in Montana. Current owners, Tim and Claudette Dringle, are celebrating their 10th year of bringing live theatre to the Opera House stage.

Colleen “Binky” Watson, a veteran of many Montana theatre productions, is serving her fourth season as artistic director. David Mills-Low, a self-described writer, actor, director, sound designer, podcaster, and “father of three crazy kids,” wrote and directs the comedy “Is It Hot?” which explores what happens when “The Menopause” meets the Nuclear Family of the 1950s.

In the new “Pig and Whistle” Vaudeville Show, the cast gets caught up in Irish humor and music at their favorite local Irish pub, and then returns to traditional vaudeville in act two with hilarity and hijinks mingled with music.

“The Girl in the Freudian Slip,” which joined the repertory line-up July 2, tells the story of a staid New York psychiatrist with a fashion artist for a wife, a perceptive 17-year-old for a daughter, a social-lion bachelor for a friend, and a former patient capable of leading the doctor astray. See how he maneuvers the situation without the benefit of "the couch" and "structural analysis."

Show times are 7 p.m. Thursdays, 2 and 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays, through Sept. 5. Tickets are $9-$17; call 859-0013 or visit www.operahousetheatre.com for details.
