Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art hosts its 14th annual Art Auction and Benefit Dinner on Feb. 5 at Meadow Lark Country Club in Great Falls. The evening kicks off with cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres and an opportunity to preview art in both the silent and live auctions.
Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., followed by decadent desserts. Emcees Jennifer Pospisil and Ed Leppien and Tate Heinzerling of Black Auctions present the work of more than 40 talented artists.
Tickets are $75 per person and tables of 8 are available; for reservations, call 406-727-8255.
Proceeds from the annual event support exhibition and education programs at the Square. Auction items are on display at the museum prior to the benefit.
Also in February, Paris Gibson hosts a reception for Neil Jussila, Jeff Anderson and Jean Albus from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 17. Through June 4, Jussila shows paintings in “Joseph in Montana, The Nez Perce Epic”; Anderson offers “In Plain View”; and Albus shares “Rapture on the Plains.”
“Theodore Waddell: The Weight of Memory” continues through May 25 with paintings, prints and drawings by the nationally known artist. Continuing through Feb. 26: “Divine Image: Concrete Sculptures by Dr. Charles Smith” features works by the self-taught artist; and the Montana Painters Alliance Exhibition showcases works by several professional artists. “3,000 and Counting” by Jean L. Price is ongoing.
