Sherman Alexie visit rescheduled for March 16

Acclaimed author, poet and screenwriter Sherman Alexie, who cancelled his visit to Helena in February due to health reasons, has rescheduled his visit for March 16.
Alexie will present “Without Reservations: An Urban Indian’s Comic, Poetic, and Highly Irreverent Look at the World” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the Helena Middle School Auditorium.
Named one of the top writer’s of the 21st Century, Alexie’s work cuts to the heart of the human experience. His presentation promises to be a humorous yet compelling and revealing experience that will call each member of the audience to see the world for all of its possibilities and pitfalls.
Alexie is the recipient of the Native Writers’ Circle of the Americas 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award. His works include 16 collections of poems and stories, four novels (including Flight, Indian Killer and Reservation Blues) and two screenplays (“Smoke Signals” and “The Business of Fancy Dancing”).
